IBM Bob is IBM’s AI first development platform that works directly inside the IDE, offering context aware assistance, debugging, refactoring, and code reviews to streamline development. It understands the repository and developer intent, improving accuracy and workflow.
Bob automates key modernization tasks, including upgrading Java versions and migrating legacy frameworks to modern stacks, and supports secure deployment with tools like Ansible and Terraform. IBM reports that more than 6,000 internal developers have used Bob, achieving an average 45 percent productivity gain and substantial increases in code commits, supported by advanced code review capabilities that identify issues early and explain improvements.
This enablement is ideal for IBM partners looking to expand their AI practice, resell Bob, drive client modernization, or improve the efficiency of their own delivery teams.

IBM Q1 2026 Last Order Entry Dates
Please plan regarding the LOED Dates for end of Months and Quarters:
High End 10-Jan 6-Feb 10-Mar
High Volume 17-Jan 13-Feb 17-Mar
Appliance 19-Dec. 20-JAN
• High End – Three Week Lead time – DS8K, High End Tape, SAN Directors, ESS/Storage Scale System, Diamondback, Fusion HCI – These can be nominated for pre-build via BET nominations process.
• High Volume – Two Week Lead time – Flash, LTO, Media, SVC
• Appliance – Ten Week Lead time – CEPH Ready Nodes, Defender Nodes, COS Ready Nodes – There is a shortage of Intel chips in the industry that is impacting the availability of these solutions. Please take this into account for your selling plans and your customer capacity requirements. Constraints may make lead times longer.
Any orders firmed after these dates will be handled by the plant on a “best efforts” basis. We are past Ready Node last firm date – those are being worked on a best effort basis now
Current FlashSystems 5300/7300/9500 Price Increase and Availability
The Withdrawal of the FS5300 / 7300 / 9500 was also announced today effective September 30, 2026, for selected models/features and with some models/features to be withdrawn on September 30, 2027.
Also announced today is a list price increase for the current family of FCM4s, NVMe drives, FS7300 and FS9500 controller.
Given the increased demand for compute and storage with the surge of AI Datacenter build outs – AI SuperCyle – prices for our storage components have increased dramatically in the last few months. This increase is due to these shifts in the marketplace. Our competitors have also recently increased pricing as well in response to these cost increases. This increase will take effect on March 6, 2026.
Firm orders received through March 5, 2026, will have the old pricing in effect. So, if your clients need the lower price, they will need to issue a PO and firm their orders before March 6, 2026.

Accelerate with ATG: Defender Data Resiliency Service (DRS) Introduction and Updates
Cyber Attacks require a smarter approach to data resiliency beyond simply implementing backups and other types of data protection. We need to be able to detect attacks of various types as quickly as possible, including validating that recovery points are clean. We need to catalog all viable recovery points and be able to validate that the necessary levels of protection have been provided. We need to periodically orchestrate recovery tests so that we know for certain that recovery from different scenarios is possible.
The IBM Storage Defender Data Resiliency Service allows an organization to set up governance profiles that dictate the level of data resiliency any application requires, report upon compliance to those governance rules, organize critical assets into groups needed for a given application, detect cyber-attacks in real time and via deep analysis and then be able to test recoveries of those application groups.
The Data Resiliency Service allows lines of business and Security Operations personnel the ability to see, at a glance, that the data resiliency service required for all critical applications is being provided, including orchestrated recovery testing.

Accelerate with ATG: Detecting Cyber Attacks with IBM Storage Defender
Cyber-attacks are becoming more sophisticated and challenging to detect. As the attackers begin using different attack vectors and types, it is critical that a broad set of detection technologies be implemented. This can include real-time corruption detection via primary storage, via sensors running within a machine, deep analysis of data structures on protected data for many application types and monitoring for suspicious activity (including automatically triggering deeper analysis if such activity is detected).
The IBM Storage Defender family offers many cyber resilient features such as high-performance recovery points using air-gapped and immutable backups, but this session will focus on one of the most critical aspects of cyber resilience: Detecting different types of attacks as quickly as possible. This session will cover the different types of detection, why such sophisticated detection capabilities are required, and a demonstration of the underlying technology.
Audience: Clients, IBM Business Partners and IBMers
