IBM and TD SYNNEX EOQ Guidelines

IBM announced Power and Storage price adjustments effective April 1, 2026, driven by industry wide component cost increases. Customers who firm orders before the end of March/1Q will retain current pricing. The update includes almost the entire Power and Storage portfolio included all FlashSystems models not previously included on the Feb 10 announced Flash price increase. Those list price increases took effect today, March 6. The FlashSystems 5600/7600/9600 are excluded from the pricing action.
Pricing for partners is authorized via pricing authorization on e-pricer. That approval gives partners an approved discount to use through the bid expiration date. It doesn’t approve a net price; it approves a discount used against whatever the list price is the day the solution is firmed in the IBM system. (OMV is NOT considered Firm)
You may get requests from clients to firm orders now and put the CRAD out in late 2Q, 3Q or 4Q. Pricing is only authorized for the validity term of the Special Bid or Value Seller authorization. For example, every Partner Special Bid and Value Seller authorization includes this term in the Bid. Please make sure you read the terms of the bid.
6) The products must ship on or between the “Bid Start Date” and the “Bid Approval Expiration Date” specified. The approved discounts are not valid for any products or services that were shipped before the “Bid Start Date” or after the “Bid Approval Expiration Date.”
All sellers and business partners should be careful not to commit pricing beyond what has been authorized.

Accelerate with ATG: Detecting Cyber Attacks with IBM Storage Defender

Cyber-attacks are becoming more sophisticated and challenging to detect. As the attackers begin using different attack vectors and types, it is critical that a broad set of detection technologies be implemented. This can include real-time corruption detection via primary storage, via sensors running within a machine, deep analysis of data structures on protected data for many application types and monitoring for suspicious activity (including automatically triggering deeper analysis if such activity is detected).

The IBM Storage Defender family offers many cyber resilient features such as high-performance recovery points using air-gapped and immutable backups, but this session will focus on one of the most critical aspects of cyber resilience: Detecting different types of attacks as quickly as possible. This session will cover the different types of detection, why such sophisticated detection capabilities are required, and a demonstration of the underlying technology.
