Why this matters:
Select Territory accounts already have tech solutions installed, we just need to showcase how IBM products can enhance their existing tech stacks. Business Partners sell across vendors and have incumbent relationships in Select Territory. Affinity Plays offer a vehicle for BPs to sell ""better together"" messaging for our Q1 priority plays (more to come in Q2!):

IBM Cloud

Deal Registration is coming to IBM Cloud starting April 6, 2026

As announced in the IBM Partner Plus Program Guide, Deal Registration (DR) will be introduced across the IBM Cloud Ecosystem starting 6 April, giving IBM Business Partners a new way to protect the opportunities they develop.

With Deal Registration, only the first IBM Reseller to register and receive an approved DR for an opportunity is eligible to request Special Bid (SB) discounted pricing. This ensures that the time and investment put into building customer relationships are recognized and protected. Resellers without an approved DR for the opportunity will have access to list pricing only.

Please note:
• The compensation model for IBM Cloud offerings remains unchanged (Part Numbers remain ineligible for IBM Partner Plus incentives).
• The standard Deal Registration Review process will be applied when multiple Resellers compete for the same opportunity.
• Standard Sales Documentation is required to qualify for DR.

These hands-on events promote IBM's watsonx code assistant. (Project Bob)
The IBM Bobathon is a hands on, fast paced hackathon designed to help teams experience the power of IBM Bob, IBM’s AI code assistant. Participants will explore Bob’s capabilities through guided labs and real world experimentation, identifying high value use cases that can meaningfully improve development speed, quality, and productivity.
By the end of the session, attendees will have a solid understanding of Bob’s differentiators, firsthand experience applying Bob to real scenarios, and a clear path for implementing IBM Bob solutions within their organization.

IBM Infrastructure with Expert Care Premium – The New Default

Effective April 1, Power 11 High End and Mid Range systems, and any IBM Storage product with available Premium tier will default to Expert Care Premium and required for workload alignment. Given the mission-critical deployments
aligned with Power E1180 and E1150 and high‑end Storage systems (DS8000, Fusion, TS7700), removal of Expert Care
Premium on these systems now requires a password to prevent unintended reduction of coverage.
